Community Agriculture Resources Development Programme CARDEP is a national registered non-governmental organization, with operations in all the six counties of the coast region, visioning to operate in the remaining counties. Through its expertise CARDEP is known for community mobilization towards food self sufficiency and security, promotion of quality education, environmental management (Beach cleaning, Mangrove rehabilitation, sea weed processing, livestock feed formulation) Talent development, Farmer Filed Schools. (FFS), Farmer Market Schools (FMS) and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) (Distribution of sanitary towels)
The organization was registered with the NGO coordination board under certificate no OP.218/051/11-0592/7686 on 25/01/2012.
CARDEP has seven-member board of directors, with experts in different technical fields. ranging from agricultural development, Culture and national heritage, finance and accounting, Public Health and petroleum resource development.
We have a Volunteerism programme which provides opportunity to both university and school leavers to gain field experience while working in our projects. CARDEP networks with county governments extension staff, Community based organizations (CBOs) other NGOs in advocacy for girl child (anti early marriages) and health and safety management for workers.

Promote food security and increased incomes of the resource poor coastal communities by promoting sustainable management of land and water resources for improved food security, health and sanitation. The organization also implements education programmes to improve education programmes in the coast and develop youth talents in different fields
Education Programs:Â Mentorship programs in primary, secondary and Tertiary institutions in Kilifi County and in particular Kilifi North constituency (Matsangoni, Jimba, Mubarakachembe and watamu areas)
