GUIDING PHILOSOPHY: MISSION, VISION, AND VALUES

What are the underlying and continuing commitments that enable CARDEP to act with clarity of purpose towards achieving its objectives?

CARDEP’s guiding philosophy consists of our mission, vision, and core values. Our mission describes why we exist. Our vision describes our aspiration for what the communities will become when we succeed in carrying out our mission. Our core values clarify the enduring principles that guide our decisions and actions in the organization.

Our Mission (Why we exist)

To strengthen our communities by inspiring people at household level and mobilize agricultural resources to commit to activities as a source of quality life.

Our Vision (What is the future we aspire to bring?)

We envision communities where all households have the opportunity for a high quality of life, including but not limited to:

  • Food security, shelter, clothing, health and safety
  • Agricultural education
  • Inclusivity to participate and connect with their community
  • Economic growth, increased incomes through sustainable agribusiness
  • Share the community’s rich cultural offerings

Our Values (What core ideals guide our decisions and actions?)

  • Leadership: We listen to and learn from our community, and provide guidance and support.
  • Responsiveness: We listen and respond to needs of the community by addressing the root causes of community problems.
  • Innovativeness: We encourage communities to use innovative ways of solving problems using locally available materials and resources
  • Inclusivity: We practice and champion inclusiveness in the community. We respect diverse strengths, needs, voices, and backgrounds of all members of the community in which we serve.
  • Accountability: We serve as stewards and strive to develop stewardship in the community for our community Agriculture resources and honor the charitable intentions of our donors to meet current and future community needs. We hold ourselves to the highest standards of ethics, integrity, service, and fiduciary responsibility.

This strategic plan is designed to advance, uphold, and strengthen CARDEP’s mission, vision, and core values. It is a forward looking plan that captures the aspirations of CARDEP to contribute and improve on the quality of life of the people within the communities. It translates CARDEP’s enduring ideals into tangible outcomes and pragmatic strategies for the advancing the common good in the community.

OBJECTIVES AND KEY STRATEGIES
